Tim grew up in Wall Township and attended Old Mill School, Wall intermediate School and Wall High School graduating in 1983.  He received a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and is a certified public manager in the State of New Jersey.  In 1994 Tim married Jennifer “Lokerson” Clayton and they have been married for 28 years.  They have two children, Alexandra and Emily.    

Currently, Tim is the school safety coordinator for the Manasquan School District.   Prior to that he proudly served as a Wall Township police officer for 25 years retiring at the rank of Captain in 2011.   

During his years with the police department, he received advanced training in Public Administration, Police Leadership, Criminal Investigations, budgeting, staffing and completed Northwestern University Traffic Master program.    He also served as the police liaison WHIP and was a member of the planning board.

At Manasquan Schools, along with his security coordinator responsibilities, Tim received his teaching certification in Law Enforcement, created the public safety academy and teaches public safety at Manasquan High School.   This program guides students interested in law enforcement into policing as a certified as a Class I special officer.   Many students have graduated from the Public safety Academy and have been employed by area police departments as special officers.
