What to recycle? Where to take it? The Township does not accept the following hazardous materials: used motor oil, antifreeze, cleaners/solvents, garden chemicals and paint. These materials should be kept in original containers when possible and should not be mixed. Hazardous materials can be disposed of at the Monmouth County Permanent Household Hazardous Waste site in Tinton Falls. Please call them at 732-922-2234 to make an appointment. They are open Tuesday – Saturday from 8:00AM – Noon and 1:00PM – 4:00PM. Please remember it is illegal to dump any of these materials in or on the ground, down any drain or in with the regular garbage. Please note that EMPTY paint cans, with the lids off, can be brought to the Wall Township Recycling Centers.

Recycling items are to be put at the curb in 32-gallon trash cans -- no plastic bags. Items not recycled are concrete products, roofing materials, batteries and propane tanks.

Newspapers (tied in bundles) will be picked up on Tuesday of your Bulk Week, while co-mingled plastics, tin cans, aluminum and glass bottles will be picked up on the Thursday of Bulk Week. If you're not sure when that is, please check the zone map for a detailed listing.

There will be no pickup of household garbage/recyclables on the following holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day. If any of the holidays fall on a Saturday, then the previous Friday is observed as a holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, then the following Monday is observed by the Township. It should be noted that recyclables are not picked up on holidays, but will be picked up the next working day.

The Recycling Centers will not be open during holidays as shown above. Otherwise, Recycling Center hours are weekdays from 7:30am to 3:15pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
