On Saturday, Sept. 20, communities worldwide will participate in the 12th annual Kids Day America/International, a health, safety, prevention and environmental awareness day. The Wall Community Relations/Community Alliance and Garrow Family Chiropractic will be sponsoring this event for the seventh year in a row at the Wall Municipal Building in the center courtyard located on Allaire and Bailey’s Corner roads, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event was created to provide essential information on crime prevention, child safety, drug and alcohol prevention and environmental awareness. The Wall Police Department and Wall Fire Department will be present with their emergency vehicles. They will also be on hand to talk to the children, as well as perform demonstrations and provide lots of fun and educational information for the kids.
Garrow Family Chiropractic will provide free spinal exams and scoliosis screenings and distribute vital information on disease prevention and specific health issues that affect children. In addition, there will be dental screenings for the children, environmental information, drug and alcohol prevention information, and much more important health and awareness for children.
There will be many free fun activities for children, including face painting, crafts, balloons, tattoos, a moonwalk, a petting zoo, clowns, hay rides, a DJ, plus a girl’s and boy’s bike will be given away as well as other grand prize drawings throughout the day. Popular characters will be making an appearance as well as other surprise appearances. Many community organizations will be present with their vehicles for tours and observations. There will also be free massages for the adults. Lots of free food will be on hand including pizza, subs, donuts, cotton candy and many healthy snacks as well. Dance companies will perform children’s dance demonstrations, there will be a karate/taekwondo demonstration as well as other fun and safety oriented demonstrations.
If anyone is interested in becoming a sponsor for this event or would like to participate by providing helpful information to the children, please contact Kristin at the Wall Alliance.
