The Joint Board of Fire Commissioners governs the Wall
Twp Fire Bureau. This board is made up of two commissioners from each
of the three-fire districts within the township. The responsibility of
the Joint Board is to oversee the funding and manning of the bureau for
proper enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code of New Jersey.
Wall Twp Fire Bureau’s job is to enforce the New Jersey Uniform
Fire Code and all local codes throughout the Township. These duties consist
of investigations of complaints, routine fire inspections, fire lane enforcement,
smoke detector / carbon monoxide compliance, and public education. Along
with the above duties the Bureau is responsible for the investigation
or cause to be investigated of all fires within the Township.
The professional and friendly staff of the Fire Bureau will assist the
public with questions concerning applications for smoke detector / carbon
monoxide compliance, Knox Box applications, as well as scheduling appointments
for inspections.
