The Township Committee would like to update the residents and business of Wall Township on some of the issues that are affecting our community. We are proud to serve as your elected officials representing you on various issues affecting our community, and we are also proud of the job our municipal employees do in performing their daily functions for the residents of our Township.

Preparing and implementing the annual municipal budget is one of the primary functions we perform as your elected officials. Providing municipal services at a cost we can afford is a primary goal of the Township Committee. While your tax dollars for municipal services represent only 18% of your taxes, they are used for our residents and business. The public safety portion of the municipal budget goes toward providing 24-hour police services and EMS services during daytime hours in Wall Township. One of the biggest components of our municipal budget is the public safety portion. Our Police Department continues to be one of the best in the State of New Jersey and the men and women in our public safety department work around the clock to assure the safety of our residents throughout the year.

Our Public Works Department is the second-largest department in municipal government and provides twice-weekly trash collection, monthly bulk and recycling collection, along with leaf and brush pick-up as well as road maintenance.

The Township's Recreation Department is busy establishing programs for youth and adults throughout the Township. It provides educational, recreational and athletic programs throught the year. Seasonal events, such as our fireworks and Volunteer Day, are also part of our recreation program.

The other municipal departments attempt to provide courteous and prompt service to residents in Town Hall, and the Youth Center on M Street provides counseling and educational programs for children and families.

The Water and Sewer Department has held the line on water rates and sewer rates in our Township for the eighth consecutive year. We have provided meter reading and monthly billing for the ease of our residents and businesses and look forward to continuing the tradition of quality services.

Open Space and the preservation of farmland are at the forefront of discussions on a monthly basis at our Township Meetings. Each year we try to add to our Open Space inventory and have done so each and every year for the past eight years.

We make every effort to give you the best services possible and make sure that the quality of services provided by your municipal government will be maintained. The Township attempts to provide you the greatest value for your tax dollar. We look forward to serving you and your needs.
