1.      Do I need a permit to renovate my bathroom?

 

Yes and No. You can replace toilets and bathroom sinks without a permit if you are

not changing the piping system. If you change a shower valve a permit and inspection

is required.

 

2.      Do I need a plumbing permit to renovate my kitchen?

 

Yes and No. If you are replacing your kitchen sink without changing the piping system

no permit is required. If the sink is being relocated a permit and inspection is required.

 

3.      Can I install an outside shower at my home?

 

Yes. An outside shower may be installed but a waste line must be installed that is

connected to the sanitary system.

 

4.      Do I need a licensed plumber for my plumbing work?

 

A licensed plumber is required for plumbing work except when a single

family homeowner is working on his own dwelling.

 

Ownership alone does not make the exception. The dwelling must be the homeowner's

private residence.
