Wall Township operates under the township form of municipal government. The Township Committee, which is the Governing Body, consists of 5 members elected at-large for 3-year, overlapping terms. At the annual reorganization meeting, the Township Committee selects a Mayor and Deputy Mayor. This five-member Committee is empowered to enact local ordinances, to levy municipal taxes, and conduct the affairs of this community.
